Covet is finally out! I got the book straight from the library after getting the first 2, and all I can say is that it was one tortuous, riveting book that literally had me feeling all of the feels in one go. By the way, if you’re reading this without having read the previous 2 books or my book review, I’m warning you that there will be a couple of pre-Covet spoilers.

So, we just found out that Hudson, in words that I probably won’t write here (I don’t use curses), was actually Grace’s mate, in the last sentence of the book, which literally shattered almost everything I had ever even thought of from the mating bond. Most of the major characters were still wrapping their minds across the newly-forged feelings, but Grace wasn’t sure at all how to deal with the rapid shifts in her feelings, and feels repeatedly broken and shattered as she tries to figure out ways to rekindle almost everything perfectly, before Hudson uttered those ‘not-so-dreaded’ words. Fortunately with the aid of her friends, including the Vega brothers, (Hudson and Jaxon), Grace was desperately trying to make a better world for the paranormals and supernaturals to come, but everyone knew that the possible outcome could physically and mentally destroy them.

I think something I thought was quite exceptional was that the book was quite intensely built, and while reading, I saw a lot more of each of the courts quite extensively, most commonly the Dragon Court, which Flint’s parents were currently ruling. I also got to see a lot of how the courts were run, by corruption, or by fair leadership, and understood their exciting customs, like Wyvern Hoard, which was a day for the dragons to share their wealth with paranormal passerby and be generous to all.

Also, in this book I get to see more information about Grace and Hudson’s/Grace and Jaxon’s mating bond (not gonna spoil who Grace ends up with). Personally though, I’m on Team Hudson and Grace, because first of all, they’re perfect for each other. I could see loads of playful banter and chemistry that was very exclusive to the Grace and Hudson ship, while Jaxon tried to keep Grace out of trouble and tried to protect her as much as he could, which was kinda on him, mainly because Grace herself was trying to be independent and not lean on others for their moral support.

But I think that’s why I support Hudson’s relationship with Grace more as he actually treats her as she really is, not some painted picture of how she should be. He’s probably the best character in the book, because he’s smart, funny, British (if you know what I mean), handsome, interesting, and also he has a very well developed character!

The book does end on a cliffhanger on Hudson’s POV, with him starting to worry about Grace’s Gargoyle green string (you will probably understand if you read Crush), and it left me with anticipation as THE FOURTH BOOK ISN’T EVEN OUT YET. I think I’ll really jump with excitement when I hold that awesome book in my hand, flipping and perusing those pages excitedly.

Overall, I loved this book and I am literally so excited to read the fourth book!
